The Words of Jesus
The Bread of Life
I am the bread of life.
John 6:35
I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
What is happening
Jesus says this the day after feeding five thousand people with five loaves and two fish.
Why it matters
The people wanted more bread. He offers something that satisfies.
